Super Eagles Keeper Stanley Nwabali To Leave Chippa United This Summer

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali set to quit Chippa United this Summer

Chippa United Football Club is reportedly set to sell Nigerian goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali at the end of the current season. According to Kickoff, the club plans to strengthen its squad this summer, and believes selling Nwabali will help achieve that goal.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper joined Chippa United three years ago from Nigerian Premier Football League side Katsina United. Nwabali is currently regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in the South African league.

Chippa United is said to have already identified two potential replacements for the Nigerian international.

Nwabali was linked with a move abroad last summer after impressing with Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, where the Super Eagles finished as runners-up. However, instead of making a move to Europe, Nwabali signed a new three-year contract and was appointed Chippa United captain.
