Super Eagles’ Semi Ajayi To Leave West Brom

Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi set to leave West Brom

Nigeria international defender Semi Ajayi is expected to leave West Bromwich Albion at the end of the current season, with his contract set to expire this summer. The club is reportedly willing to let him depart on a free transfer.

Ajayi, 31, joined West Brom from Rotherham United in 2019 on a four-year deal, later extending his contract in May 2022. Over his time with the club, he made 169 league appearances and scored 12 goals, becoming a key figure in their defense.

A product of the Arsenal Academy, Ajayi has also built a strong international career, representing Nigeria at both the 2021 and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments. He played a crucial role in helping the Super Eagles reach the final in Côte d’Ivoire earlier this year.
