A teenager, Adesogo Promise, has been brought before an Iwaro Oka Magistrate Court for allegedly assaulting a corps member, Akomolafe Dickson, and disrupting academic activities at St. Patrick’s College in Iwaro-Oka, Ondo State.
The prosecution, led by Inspector Kehinde Emmanuel, informed the court that the defendant physically attacked Akomolafe, striking him with blows. Additionally, the defendant was accused of obstructing a police officer, Constable Afolabi Samuel, who was carrying out an arrest on behalf of the Nigeria Police Divisional Headquarters in Iwaro Oka Akoko.
The accused, who appeared without legal representation, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Magistrate B. I. Ikusika, who is presiding over the case, ordered the defendant’s remand and adjourned the hearing until April 16, 2025.
