Teenager Charged Over TikTok Video Featuring Grand Prix Stunt

Two teenagers have been charged after a TikTok video showed  their reckless  stunt at the Australian Grand Prix. The incident, which took place during one of the Australia’s most popular motor racing events, caught the attention of both the public and authorities The Age Australia reports.

The video, shows the 18-year-olds, dressed in yellow high-visibility vests and red lanyards, seems to be impersonating security personnel. One of them proudly boasted, “The crowd didn’t question us one bit,” as the pair confidently strolls through the venue. The footage, which has now been viewed by thousands, shows them effortlessly gaining access to restricted areas at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne on March 16, 2025.

The culprit, allegedly disguised as security guards, made their way past staff and into exclusive zones, including Two the high-profile Red Bull Energy Station, where tickets for a three-day pass can cost up to $7,000. The video shows one of the teens holding a megaphone, while the other films their actions. They claim they gained entry by telling staff that “people had run through,” and were able to join fans at the Red Bull Station’s balcony, watching Lando Norris’ victory during the race.

The TikTok account responsible for the video, Trissy Pranks, received mixed reactions, with some praising the act while others criticised their actions. While many users saw their actions as boldness, others voiced their concerns about their decision to share the stunt online, which ultimately led to their identification by authorities.

Following the video’s circulation, the two 18-year-olds has now been  charged  with [10] offences, including obtaining financial advantage by deception, making false documents and trespass. They were granted bail and are due to face Melbourne Magistrates Court on June 13.
