Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has officially announced that the current season will be his last at the club.
In an exclusive interview with Sky News, Salah was asked whether he believed this would be his final season with the Reds. The Egyptian forward responded candidly: “So far, yes. It’s the last six months.” He added, “There is no progress there; we’re far away from any progress, so we just need to wait and see.”
Salah expressed his desire to leave Liverpool on a high note by winning another Premier League title. “I want to win the Premier League with Liverpool. It’s my last year at the club, so I want to do something special for the city,” he said.
The 32-year-old joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017 and has since etched his name into the club’s history books. He played a pivotal role in ending Liverpool’s 30-year Premier League title drought in 2020 and was instrumental in their UEFA Champions League triumph in 2019.
During his illustrious tenure, Salah also helped Liverpool secure the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup in 2020. Despite his contract running until June 2025, it appears Salah has decided to seek a new challenge after this season.
As Salah approaches the final chapters of his Liverpool career, fans will undoubtedly cherish his contributions and hope to see him add another trophy to his legacy before bidding farewell.
