President Bola Tinubu has approved new appointments to lead the River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources. This was announced in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga.
The President appointed Sowade Adebayo as the Executive Director of Engineering Services at the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority in Abeokuta, replacing Engr. Julius Oloro. At the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority, Chucks Erhire has been appointed as Executive Director of Engineering Services, taking over from Dr. Austin Nonyelim Izagbo.
Sunday Hassan was appointed as the Executive Director of Planning at the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, succeeding Chief Chris Tarka. The statement also confirmed that Engr. Okibe Timothy will continue in his role as Executive Director of Engineering at the Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority.
President Tinubu has urged the appointees to maintain the highest standards of integrity and performance as they work to enhance water management and rural development for the benefit of all Nigerians.
