Media personality Toke Makinwa has once again stirred up conversations after revealing she’s open to becoming someone’s second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife.
Speaking on a new episode of her podcast Toke Moments, which she shared on Instagram on Saturday, Toke made the bold statement with a playful tone:
At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to marry again—as a second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife—I’ll take it.
Her comment follows reflections on her past marriage to Maje Ayida, which ended in 2017 amid cheating allegations. In earlier podcast episodes, she opened up about the emotional toll that chapter took on her, saying it often brought her to tears.
Now 40, Toke is embracing her truth and challenging societal expectations:
I am 40, I am single, and I am childless. I said it, and I didn’t die,” she said. “I used to feel ashamed… But honestly, if I had gotten married again, I would have been divorced again. The lessons don’t stop.
