Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), founder of Tantita Security Services Limited, and the Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM) have announced their support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. The endorsement was revealed at a press conference in Abuja on Monday, with Dr. Benjamin Tamaranebi, HOSTCOM’s National President, and other key supporters of Tompolo in attendance.

Notable figures at the event included Chief Ese Omafuakpo, Chairman of the Traditional Rulers of South-South; Chief Obong Udo, Chairman of the Council of Chiefs; and Timi Alale, the Adua Tein 1 of Ijaw Izonbe.

Tamaranebi explained that the decision to back Tinubu for a second term was made unanimously by Niger Delta stakeholders, who believe the President has shown he is capable of leading Nigeria out of its challenges. He praised Tinubu for addressing the “twin cancerous maladies” of oil theft and pipeline vandalism, which have long hindered Nigeria’s economy.

“The oil and gas sector, which was once in decline, has made a remarkable recovery under his leadership,” Tamaranebi said. “After thoroughly evaluating his performance over the past two years, we are fully endorsing Tinubu for re-election in 2027.”

The HOSTCOM leader also emphasized that Tinubu’s administration is not only addressing current issues but is also focused on building the future. He added, “We believe that no leader can build the future in just four years, which is why continuity is essential.”

Tamaranebi also called on the President to resolve the political crisis in Rivers State, following the declaration of a state of emergency. “We appeal to President Tinubu to use his influence to ensure peace is restored in Rivers State for the sake of the people,” he said.

The endorsement signifies the strong backing of the Niger Delta communities for Tinubu’s leadership, with a focus on ongoing development across Nigeria’s regions.
