England-born midfielder of Nigerian descent, Callum Olusesi, has signed a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
In a statement on the club’s website, Tottenham announced that Olusesi has committed to a deal that will keep him at the club until 2029.
“We are delighted to announce that Callum Olusesi has signed a new contract with the Club, which will run until 2029,” the club said.
The 18-year-old central midfielder progressed through Tottenham’s Academy system and made his first-team debut in a 3-2 Europa League win over TSG Hoffenheim in January.
An England Under-18 international, Olusesi was part of Tottenham’s young squad that won the Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup double in the 2022/23 season. He later made his Under-21 debut during the club’s Premier League 2 title-winning campaign last year.
Despite still being eligible for the Under-18s, Olusesi has been with the Under-21s full-time this season and quickly took on the captain’s role, scoring his first goal at that level in an August match against Southampton.
He has scored four goals in nine Premier League 2 appearances this season.
At the senior level, Olusesi has been named in Tottenham’s first-team squad 21 times so far.
