Trump Vows Retaliation Against EU Tariffs as Trade Tensions Escalate

President Donald Trump has vowed to retaliate against the European Union’s new tariffs on U.S. goods, following a trade war escalation triggered by his 25% steel and aluminum import tariffs.

Trump did not specify his response but emphasized the aim to “take back” American wealth.

The EU’s tariffs, set to take effect on April 1, target American products like meat, bourbon, and motorcycles, threatening billions in losses for U.S. businesses.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned of rising prices and job risks.
