Two more bodies have been recovered from the rubble of a collapsed building under construction on Oriwu Street in the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos State. The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the bodies were found this morning.
“Two more dead bodies were brought out of the rubble this morning,” Hundeyin stated.
The building collapsed around 4 p.m., trapping several workers. Fourteen laborers were rescued from the wreckage, but two were found dead at the scene and their bodies were taken to the morgue.
